ASA is an amorphous acrylate rubber modified styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) copolymer with an acrylate rubber modifier included at the polymerization stage. Hence, ASA and ABS are actually very similar in terms of their mechanical properties. However, due to its better UV and weathering resistance, ASA is superior to ABS in a wide range of applications like the outdoor application.

Application: drain pipe and fittings, exterior panel of gold cart, ASA protective cover for satellite electronics, mail boxes, outdoor furniture, surface skin of boat hulls, ASA composite structure for sailboats and bumper covers,  exterior sideview mirror housing and etc.
