Although unmodified PPO is a semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastic, all commercially available PPO grades are blended with high impact polystyrene (HIPS) in order to improve melt processability. Thus, these blends are actually amorphous, opaque engineering thermoplastics with a balance of properties and cost. These blends, or so called modified Polyphenylene Oxide has a very wide range of properties, low moisture absorption and good chemical resistance.

Application: Impeller, wiring terminal board, washing and dish-washing machine parts, transportation wheel covers, pipe, water meters, EMI/RFI shielding, junction boxes and covers, coil bobbins, fuse blocks, fire alarms, current-carrying switch gears, manifolds, pump, valve, fitting applications and etc.
