Description
Masterbatch is an additive that is used to color or modify the properties of plastic products. It is a concentrated mixture of pigments and/or additives that is encapsulated in a polymer carrier by heat treatment or extrusion. The masterbatch is then cooled and cut into granules that can be easily blended with the base polymer during the manufacturing process.
Masterbatch offers several advantages for plastic manufacturers, such as cost-effectiveness, quality and consistency, flexibility and customization, and environmental friendliness. Masterbatch can also impart specific properties and functions to the plastic products, such as UV resistance, flame retardance, antibacterial, antistatic, etc.
